By 2008, the season weight handicap system used in the World Championships, has been revised. The new principle of charging ballast organizers called «cargo» success. Since filing commission races bodywork new system has already been adopted by the World Council of FIA sports.

«Cargo» success is based directly on two principles: the amount of points and results in the Championship races. Each typed in a personal point mass of the car set-off party will increase by one kilogram. After two races, pilots also will receive «makeweight»:

  • Over 1 seat + 30 kg
  • 2 seat + 25 kg
  • 3 seat + 20 kg
  • 4 seat + 15 kg
  • 5 seat + 10 kg
  • 6 seat + 5 kg

The total mass of ballast on board vehicles will be added and converted after each stage. Maximum weight is slightly increased, once the combined mass of ballast can not exceed 60 kg, from the 2008 season, that figure rose to 70 kg. The last novelty — a 30-kg ballast, which will receive all the new World Championship.
