Russian Bears Motorsport completed their first tests with LADA 1106 WTCC car at the Zandvoort race track (Netherlands) last week. Victor Shapovalov and Jaap van Lagen drove the car. Drivers made about 40 laps total, two-days’ session passed without any technical problems.

           On the first day Victor Shapovalov run off the track into gravel at turn Tarzan. It was the only incident during the tests, though the car wasn’t damaged and the session was continued.

           Jaap van Lagen drove russian car for the first ever time, but he was very optimistic: “ We're only at the beginning of the project, so we can still make a lot of progress. The Lada 110 WTCC really surprised me. We had very good lap times. I have a lot of confidence in the future. Perhaps we can get into the top three of the privateers at the end of the season”.
