From the first person

The coming-out race appeared not so easy for our team, what was actually quite estimated, when you've started with a new equipment.
It all started with a technical check that displayed motors OpelC2OXE, which were prepared byEnglish company Swindon for our cars according to neat samples and similitudes of Chevrolet's mill team engines, were not correspondable to homologation map on one of the parametrs. The point is, Chevroles uses slightly different variation of a power plant from that was installed on essembly line on Lada 1106. At "our" engine canals in cylinder head have slightly smaller cutts.
We were allowed to take a part in the race with all the other participants agreement, but out of set-off and with a condition to organise all the documentation to the next stage of WTCC.

We've failed yet to gather up as effective settings of LADA in Valensia at training and qualification, as we've succeeded at tests in Oshersleben. It lays ahead for us to "teach to ride" a new race car, consistently and accurately.

It failed to show all the potential power of technics due to accidents. In the every first race my team parthner's car van Lagen collided into Alan Menue's Chevrolet. Yan's Lada got serious demages of bracket, which didn't let the young pilot to show the exalted result not only in the first race, but in the second either.

For me everything was not so chancy as well. In the first set-off race i've reaced the finish and count these rate as fair. In the second race i've got into the mass logjam among non-plant pilots and was enforced to come off.

First pancake was not a delightful one for us, but to sum up, I suppose this stage rolled by positively for us, we/ve got a lot of valuable information about car settings. By the next stage in France, we'll reconstruct all the technics and do better"
