The firth round of WTCC will tale place at Spanish Valencia qt 30-31 of May. Our team update LADA 110 2.0 with a new more powerful engine. Basic 2.0 engine have a principal upgrate and now have more than 280 bhp. It will help to increase results of “LADA Sport” team.

Autodromo de Ricardo Tormo will hold WTCC event for a firth year in line. Technical track is 4 km long and hane a very interesting configuration with long speedy straits and chains of turns. Formula 1 teams often use Valencia raceway for tests. Compare with difficult and specific street tracks at Pau and Marrakech spanish track is usual for the LADA Sport drivers.

Besides new engine the another advantage of Russian team will be negative compensation weight, LADA 110 have 20 kg less weight since Marocco round than at the before itах. According to the new weight compensation system such cars' weight will be kept until Brno round.

Jaap van Lagen: I'm very much looking forward to these races and hopefully we can put some of the bad luck behind us now. I'll be very interested to see how much of an effect the new engine has here, but the main thing is that we are obviously making progress".

Victor Shapovalov: "We had a very busy couple of weeks after Pau, as there was a lot of work to do in order to repair the cars and test the new engine. Now everything is ready and we can concentrate on doing a good job on what is generally a more conventional circuit than the last two we have visited. The most important thing is to have a clean weekend in order to put us in a strong position to capitalise on any chances that come our way".

First race of the Valencia event will start on Sunday 14:45 (Moscow time) and the second race – in 16:45. Each race is about a half an hour long. Eurosport channel will broadcast both races live.
